For years I told myself that a character being pretty wasn't enough to get me interested, but no, it turns out that they just...don't usually tailor the pretty quite so specifically to my interests. ;;

And yeah, omg, I totally expect Rue to ping you in the good places. Knight/princess femslash ftw!

...There's DLC available for the game (for about $5, I think?) that includes some game-breaking overpowered weapons, and also three bonus scenes of just the party messing around being cute together -- one of them has some absolutely adorable Rue/Zephie backstory that is probably worth the price by itself. ^^
